Q. What is included in my quote?
A. Our quote includes, unless otherwise noted, all charges for freight, duty, taxes and markup in the piece price. There are no hidden fees are charges associated with your quote.
Q. How do you make money?
A. A standard markup per piece.
Q. What is your actual presence in China?
A. We maintain a 5,000 square ft. state of the art office in downtown Shanghai. Our office is staffed with 30 people who handle quoting, pre-production samples, production, quality and logistics. In addition we have a satellite office in Ningbo to supervise manufacturing in southern China.
Q. Do you have a minimum order quantity?
A. A typical minimum starting order is $10,000 and we strive to build long term relationships with our customers with business ultimately reaching $500,000+ per year in orders.
Q. How long has your company been in business?
A. Smart Sourcing, Inc. has over 40 years of manufacturing experience with over 10 years experience in China.
Q. Do you have engineers on site? If so, what are their specialties?
A. Yes, we have on-site engineers in both our New York and Shanghai offices covering plastics, metals and electronics.
Q. If there was a defect in one, or some, of the units - how does your company prefer to handle them?
A. We will follow through with production only after the customer has approved first article samples. All parts go through three levels of inspection before they are submitted for customer approval: (1) China factory inspection (2) Shanghai office inspection (3) Farmingdale, NY inspection. If there is a defect, we will consult with our engineers and the customer on the best way to solve the problem and corrections will be made at the factory. For any defective product that reaches our customers, we will discuss the best method for resolution including monetary allowances.
